This was a live bee rescue of a swarm in a tree in Del Mar. The owner of We Save Bees, Dan the Bee Man, successfully relocated this colony. These bees were over 25 feet high in the tree! Luckily, we aren’t afraid of heights.
The homeowner hired us to save the bees because it was a rental property and their tenants had dogs and kids they wanted to keep safe. The team at We Save Bees performed a humane live bee removal. Irrigation valve boxes are one of the favorite places for bees to build a hive in. We also specialize in bee proofing, to make sure bees don’t sneak back in.

We had a most EXTREME challenge for them: To remove a HUGE beehive from the side of a mountain, about 60 feet up, in La Quinta, CA! These bees were flying up and over into our pool/spa for … More water, causing problems with our guests who were trying to enjoy themselves on vacation, not to mention what could've happened if someone was allergic and got stung. I'm happy to report that there are no more bees around our backyard, especially in the pool/spa area.
