This is one that our owner, dubbed Dan the Bee Man, took care of personally, here in La Jolla. The owners watched the bees move into their lemon tree and wanted a live bee removal. As much as they wanted some yummy honey lemonade, they needed the bees moved for safety reasons. We successfully performed a humane bee relocation.

The homeowner hired us to save the bees from this valve box. The silly bees built just a few feet away from the mailbox. Dogs barking at the mailman is one thing, bees buzzing around is a totally different story! We relocated the bees and bee proofed the lid to make sure bees couldn’t sneak back in.

Although there is no direct mandate that bees cannot be killed.  Luckily for us, we do everything by hand and do not use any chemicals, insecticides, pesticides that need to be questioned or banned, unless they don’t like the type of soap we use!
