Save the Bees
Our Company Saves the Bees
We don’t just talk about it, we don’t write about it, We Save Bees…literally! Our company specializes in saving bees and educating people about bees. Our approach is a 100% bee removal done by hand, no vacuums, no chemicals, and no gimmicks. We will not tell you we will “try to save the bees” or say they can’t be rescued, or say they are Africanized (killer bees) and need to be killed. After thousands of conversations with clients, we’ve heard all sorts of stories of what others have told them, and we prove the naysayers wrong every single day with actual proof we can save the bees, over 10,000 times in fact!
Why Save Bees?
We Save Bees because it’s literally the right thing to do! GreenPeace wrote an article on why we should Save the Bees and one of the notable points the article makes is that honeybees are directly responsible for pollinating ⅓ of the food that we eat. This doesn’t even touch upon the grain and hay we feed our livestock and various other indirect needs for pollination! We owe it to them to sustain our lifestyle by virtue of our food demands. Each removal is essentially a gesture of our appreciation for what they do for us.
A live bee removal is also the most environmentally responsible choice to make. This is not an absolute, but based on what we’ve come across over the years, it is definitely the tendency. Your typical exterminator that you’re paying $150 or $200 for a bargain service is just going to spray and kill the bees and probably take some sort of attempt to seal it up. Afterwards they will sprinkle a powder on the outside to handle the bees coming back that weren’t in the hive when they were there for the 5 minutes it took the spray. Here’s the environmental fallout: The bees themselves are a food source for local critters. You have birds and lizards eating bees, and other insects that are eating bees and then other birds and lizards eating those insects eating the bees. NO ONE knows what the lethal dosage is after repeated exposure on anything other than what the poison is intended for. That’s not okay.
It’s also socially irresponsible of us to not take the stance. If not us, then who? If everyone just thinks someone else is going to help solve this problem, we will be in a world of hurt. Nowadays everyone is aware of the bee shortage, and it’s a good indicator of where we are on the scale of being good stewards of nature in general, which if we were to rate ourselves according to elementary school standards, we definitely flunked. Big time! Essentially the same treatment we inflict on our bees, we’re doing the same to all local foal and fauna. Native pollinators and plants are all being devastated by our choices as a societal whole.
Don’t take our word it, this is what the NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) has to say on the topic and why we should Save the Bees. They said, “We must end the pollinator crisis before it’s too late. Without the bees, the food we love will be gone.” Sage advise, we don’t know when too late is, but all the indicators are blaring that we aren’t really moving in the right direction.
