Honey should not be given to children under the age of 2:

In rare instances, raw honey may contain spores of the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. Most older children and adults can cope with this, but because a baby’s digestive system is immature, the bacteria can multiply and cause problems. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a medical condition and are unsure as to whether you should be having honey, consult your doctor.
