Bee Pollen Is Amazing!

“Plants reproduce by pollination and plant pollen is distributed in two ways.  Pollens that are dry and lightweight are dispersed through the air, carried on the winds.  Other pollens are heavier because they’re wetter, which makes them sticky.  The sticky pollens attach themselves to visiting insects and birds, in much the same way that burrs attach themselves to a hiker’s socks and pant legs.”  (Broadhurst p.8, 2000)
